Joe Cain - Mardi Like a Rockstar
Before the Shop Boyz there was Joe Cain.
On Fat Tuesday of the year 1866, determined to revive the Mardi Gras spirits of the Mobile citizens, Joe Cain paraded through the streets of Mobile, dressed in a homemade costume as a fictional “Chickasaw” chief being pulled by a decorated charcoal wagon. Joe Cain brought the heartbeat back to the original founders of America’s Mardi Gras and for that, Mobile is grateful for “Old Joe Cain, the Heart and Soul of Mardi Gras in Mobile”
